Veriplex is a federation, not a company's product. It's built to be handed to a foundation, so no single company runs it, including us.
Who started it
Veriplex was started by the team that builds Zetna™. Zetna benefits when Veriplex grows, so we manage that in the open, on this page.
The custodian, and the hand-over
Zetna runs the first witness and holds it in trust, as custodian, until the federation is handed to a foundation.
The hand-over happens when three operators other than Zetna each run a witness, or when a foundation is formed, whichever comes first.
The custodian's witness uses its own keys, separate from every key in Zetna's product.
Its log is portable: the foundation can move it whole, and every checkpoint still verifies.
A record only the custodian's witness has signed is described as witnessed by the custodian, never as verified by the federation.
Neutral by rule
- The Veriplex name and mark are held for the foundation, and transfer to it once it is formed.
- An antitrust policy keeps prices, customers and bids out of every meeting.
- Members may sell services around the federation, never trust itself.
- Checking a record is free.
What Veriplex does not do
- It does not judge anyone's compliance. It supplies evidence, and auditors decide.
- It does not see members' data: records carry digests and signatures, never content.
